Steve Philpott

Steve joined DC as its Chief Executive in November 2003. He was a Director of the Fitness Industry Association (FIA) from 1995 until 2003 and a founder Trustee & Director of the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) where he continues to act as a governor.

He was the Chair of Skills Active’s Sports and Fitness Employers’ group until July 2008 and now chairs the FIA’s Code of Practice Committee.

DC Leisure is the largest operator of leisure centres in the UK. It is a private company which manages over 100 local authority leisure centres for about 30 councils. It has been “Leisure Centre Operator of the Year” for the last two years.
