Facilities Inquiry launched
Today sees the launch of the Facilities Inquiry, an independent look into sport and recreation facilities in the UK, led by a panel chaired by broadcaster John Inverdale.
The Inquiry will look at questions like:
- Are there enough sport and leisure facilities to go around?
- What’s the priority - more or better facilities?
- How does access measure up compared to users’ expectations?
- Are people’s experiences of sports facilities good, bad or indifferent?
- Is there anything we can do to make sure people get the experience they want?
The inquiry will run until the end of April and the panel is seeking views from everyone with an interest – from casual users, to leisure centre owners; from sports clubs to MPs.
The panel is made up of people who are really eminent in their field and from a range of backgrounds. You can read more about them on our About Us page.
