Community sports facilities come in all shapes and sizes. From state-of-the-art lottery-funded facilities, to canal towpaths and local bowls clubs. Some are natural, some man-made; some benefit from public investment whilst others survive on minimal membership subscriptions.
This independent investigation will explore the full range of places where people choose to participate in sport and recreation as well as looking at the improvements that Britain needs to make. The inquiry will make recommendations to ensure that everyone can access affordable and sustainable recreation opportunities.
